8' Fisher Minute Mount on my truck. I've had awesome service from my Fisher plows, and the parts are very easy to come by in my area.

I can't wait for the snow to fly!

One of the things that I don't like about the Western, BOSS and Meyers plows is that they tip the whole blade when you hit a ridge or chunck of ice. The Fisher has the lower trip edge to protect the truck. When the whole blade tips what can happen is the blade rides up over the pile that your pushing and then you end up driving the whole truck into a 3' high pile of snow.

I once stopped to help someone who had this problem and they just about panicked when I casually tossed the tow chain over the top of the plow on my truck and hooked it on the bottom of the moldboard. Apparently they had destroyed an almost new Western plow doing that. I've been hooking to stuff that way with a Fisher plow so long that I don't even think about it anymore.

I've done the same thing. I've hooked a chain right from the plow to the truck stuck in the snow. I love my Fisher lol

Interesting. No one has mentioned blizzard plows... Is there a reason for that? I looked for the nearest Fisher dealer and they are 2+hrs away. I think having a rep local would be handy.

Any thoughts?

Anyone plowing with an F250 like me? What size are you running?
