Diesel drags at kansas international dragway in wichita

THIS IS NOT FOR A G2G!
If we want a g2g we can have it the day of the races or the weekend of them. But that is for another thread. This is going to be a multi brand race.


I have set up a diesel class at Kansas International Dragway for this season. The race will be strictly a bracket race. Fastest wins. There will be 2 races this year and a championship race the end of the season. It will be $40 a tech card. A tech card gets you in the race. The pot will be determined by the number of entrants. 60% of all entrant fees will go in the pot and payouts will be to 3rd place. 20% of the entrant money will be held for the championship race winners. The other 20% of course goes to the track. All are encouraged to enter even at stock power. Some of the faster guys may not make it up to the championship race and you could take their winnings! The top drivers with the best times acumulatively through the year and show up at the championship get to race and bring home the big purse. But if you don't enter you don't race! Go to the track homepage for start times or if I can remember Ill update you with the times.

sounds like fun and i think we should all try to go.i might be in texas the first weekend but i wont know til closer to that time.

I'll be there if I can. I won't be racin since I can't go hurtin the truck that far from home/ during my busiest time of year, and lets face it, its a 7.3, but I'll be there if I can to root everyone else on.

We can make it an offical g2g if people show up, no reason not to. After all, it will be a g2g of the taps members.

Yeah I just meant that the race is open to all diesels. A gtg could be held those days too, but that discussion should be in another thread. I wanted this one to be clutter free so anyone who runs across it (even non members) can see all the info on the first page.

I will try to get some radio advertising and would like to say that it is an event sponsored by the Tornado Alley Powerstrokes! Ill let you know how that turns out.

We'll take the g2g chat to the TAPS g2g and chat threads, but so far it sounds like this is a go for an offical g2g.

We're gonna be trying to get a TAPS (the kansas chapter of the org) get together planned there too. I know Chris (the TAPS member who is really pushin for this get together) is really tryin to get some dodge guys there too, try to get it to be a big diesel event since all brands will be there runnin the strip. Gonna have to hang the "ford is better than chevy and dodge" (even though it is) stuff at the door and just have some fun with other diesel fans.
