Houston area

well here in the near future, around august, i think i am going to be moving to the Houston area. i am going to be going to Universal Technical Institute for automotive/diesel/industrial technologies. just trying to see how the area is. what the cost of living is and so fourth. just any information you could give about this area would be great.

Is the school in Houston proper? or like Clear Lake or Woodlands or somethin like that?

Actual Houston city limits....downtown. Some parts of Clear Lake have Houston listed as their city in the address, but they're not in Houston proper. knowhatimean?
