I'm moving to Temple, TX from wyoming. Need some info.

I'm moving from Wyoming to Temple in a couple weeks. What all goes into registering your truck there? I know there's an inspection but what are they looking for? Also does anyone know a good place to rent a house in the Temple area?

Thanks man. I'm just having trouble finding a place to rent because of out of state right now and everyone I talk to about renting a house thinks I'm trying to scam them some how. It's frustrating, because I move next week.

You need to go get a state inspection first. There are several places that do them, mainly shops. You get a thing called a VI30 from there and you will need that to register the vehicle. The inspection is around 15 bucks, and then you have to pay to register the vehicle also.

for a diesel, just the normal stuff. Lights, blinkers, e-brake, and so on. No emissions testing, but you cant have a check engine light on. They wont plug into the obd2 either. Im a few hours south of Temple if you need something. Maybe check with some local realtors in Temple, they might be able to help out.

I'm in lott which is maybe 20 minutes or so away from temple. Where I go to get my truck inspected it's just a joke. They just check blinkers brakes and lights with windshield wipers. Other than that they don't look up under it or under the hood or nothing like that. I have no clue about the housing though
