Check out Austin if you get a chance, It's a really nice place and has great live music venues if you are into that. They say tech industry is booming here if that's what you do

I wanted to check the Austin are out as well. However, there is so much to see in the area that I'm currently in. I really like it here so far!

Crazy differences for me that I have noticed:

There are almost zero street lights in the neighborhoods at night. Do the residential streets are very very dark compared to California.

Seems like there are a TON of CVS/Walgreens!

The gas stations are very large and clean.

The road ways are super clean compare to California!!

The roadways are confusing at first! The stoplights are different, toll roads and frontage roads!

Everyone is crazy nice!

Seems like people don't speed as much out on the highways because of the troopers that sit out in the pitch black darkness waiting to strike!

Texas is the only place I will live. Everything operates *close* to normal in this state compared to others.
And the streets are darker because you don't have to worry about criminal activity as much. (didn't say you don't have to worry.. lol)

Look anywhere in TX and you'll be able to find a decent job.
Where you are looking somewhat determines what you'll get.
