Diesel newbie in Dallas looking for a shop...

First time diesel owner picking up a 2006 Lariat FX4 with 55k on it this weekend in Houston. Dealer checked it out and said it was fine.

Looking for a shop in N. Dallas area (willing to drive though) to take care of the truck, regular service, possible light mods, etc. Looks like an oil change, tranny flush, coolant flush and fuel filter are good ideas right off the bat.

Any recommendations?

A search brought up Spartan Diesel Shop was all but don't see any good or bad feedback.

Still looking for a shop. The truck above didn't work out (it was beat to hell) but bought another and have a to do list below. Any recommendations other than the dealer? Looking for someone who specializes in these trucks.


Fuel pressure regulator leaking - o ring kit
Airbag light - b1932 code
Power rear sliding window - opens but won't close
Change motor oil
Change transmission oil
Flush Radiator
Pinion seal - small leak
Change fuel filters
And anything else that you find wrong or for preventative maintenance.

2006 F250 Lariat FX4 - 68k miles

I take mine to Eric, he's in Crowley, Tx. It's a drive (I live in Carrollton) but he's always been good. I had my truck towed there for a tranny overhaul. It was done in a day and a half and came with a 1 year warranty which is the same as a dealer.
Just had the upper and lower balljoints done and since he doesn't live close by I always have to sit around and wait. He had them done in 2 hours.
He was a diesel mechanic at a Ford dealer for 8 years I believe before he built a shop behind his house with a lift and all.

Wish I could find a guy closer that is trustworthy and as quick, but so far I haven't been able to.
