GULF COAST GUYS, NEED SOME INFO

HEADED TO THE COAST IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS WITH THE FAM. I WAS THINKING PORT A, CORPUS AREA. DO YALL HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE TO STAY, OR STAY AWAY FROM? THINGS TO DO OR SEE, CHEAP DIESEL SPOTS, OR FISHING SPOTS OR CHARTER SERVICES. THANKS IN ADVANCE

having grown up in corpus and still have family and friends there. when i go down i pull the trailer and stay in port a. got everything you need there. fast access to good fishing,beach and the gaff..where you can race belt sanders!! and they have good pizza.

Dolphin docs in port a is a good charter i stay on the island by corpus its like 15 miles or so south of port a all of that area is good imo. Bob hall pier is very good fishing should be catching spanish macks and kings any time also good sheap head and reds!! Red dot pier on the s.p.i.d is good trout and red fish and black drum fishing also as far as diesel man its all but 4 a gallon and prolly is 4 a gallon in some places

if you need any more help let me know i live in corpus, diesel is about 3.85 to 3.95 all around town, depending on what type of fishing you are wanting to do bay fishing? or offshore?

How is the bay fishing?
i haven't seen diesel under 4.00 dollars in forever up here in fort worth.

bay fishing is good right now, its been pretty freaking windy, a few of my freinds are going out this weekend to stay at my cabin out in baffin bay to pre-fish for the Annual Texas Oilmans Tournament next weekend we are fishing i wont be able to make it but i will get a fishing report from them when they get back

I recommend Port A also!!! Great for the family. You can rent a condo on the beach, camp or there are hotels (big chain and mom and pop). Fishing.....its awesome here. Offshore....just do a big charter from Fishermans Wharf or Deap Sea Headquarters. For inshore there are numerous guides here that are good. The best part is.....around here its almost a sure thing to bring in some fish!!! Already mentioned, but its been very windy but the guides have still been doing good.
