buying a new truck need help DFW

My brother who lives in Grapevine is going to be buying a 03 or 05 6.0 tomorrow, would anyone be intersted in going to help him check them out and make sure he isnt getting a junk.
he doent know much about diesels and isnt sure what to look for.
he also will probably be purchasing an EGR delete and maybe some studs and a tuner,
also he's going to need a good mechanic or shop to do some of the work.
any recomendations on good shops in the DFW area?
any help is appreciated.
