Powerstroke Magic ROCKS!!!!
So here is how last week went:
75 down I-10 at 0 dark 30 and went dead - lights only, no power anything. I FINALLY am able to get all the Houston azzhats to let me over 4 lanes to the shoulder. My wife calls AAA for me but while I'm waiting a really nice Sheriff pulls up behind me and calls me a Safe Clear (free tow off the highway). Anyway the flatbed pulls up, loads me up and gets me a couple miles down the road. While he's unloading me another rig shows up and tows me to the house from behind. All really cool guys. ![]() ![]() Anyway I call my buddy Scott and he thinks its the STC on the high pressure oil pump that has gone out. I called my other buddy Garrett, the owner of Powerstroke Magic in Houston and he agrees. SO I had it towed to Powerstroke Magic: ![]() ![]() Anyway, I got to check out Garretts shop - and his cool toys: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway - Garrett, TJ and Phillip with Powerstroke Magic - you guys ROCK and my rig is running great! Nah.
Just another friendly, yet scary run. No nitrous. No water/meth. I'm still having oil issues and my single hpop can't keep up with the hybrids while I have the dual pumps on the bench. WOT from a dead stop, I'll throw a ICP code within 3-4 seconds. I doubt she'll pull 400hp at the wheels at the moment.

So what was the problem Alan, the STC fitting? That must be a TX thing, because I think the chances of that scenario happening here in CO, are slim to none

Yeah, it was the STC fitting and the IPR valve. All is good now.

I've never heard of them just failing like that. I've always heard where they give hot start issues. The STC fitting is the one under the valve cover right, a HPOP line?

In a few days.. just to drop off the truck and haul a$$ back. I'll let you know when I fly down to pick up the truck. Maybe stay a day or something. Tell John I'll be down there shortly as well...
