New to forum, have question for all

I have a 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3 diesel, stock. See alot about the 6.0 with Edge, Sct, Ppe and Bullydog, but now much about 7.3. Have contacted a few stores and most are suggesting the Edge Evolution with Attitude. What are some experiences that some of you have had with all the different ones out there. My son has the Edge and loves it and I have a friend that has the Sct and loves it also. Both have 6.0 in their Excursions. Some suggestions on exhaust and cold intake also would be appreciated. Do I need to do some modifacations to the tranny also. Pull a 32' travel trailer. Sorry about the long thread. Every one have a great day and thanks for the responses in advance.

welcome to the addiction. some mods for the 7.3 are:

Custom tuned chip (PHP, DP, TW, TS, etc)
Exhaust
DIY intake
Gauges (boost, preturbo pyro, trans temp)
after that you start getting into hard parts, injectors, turbo, etc....

I have the DP. Had hypertech when I bought it but that programmer blows. Bought a diablo sport for cheap and that sucked. Bought the DP and love it

Thanks for the reply's so far. Here is my thinking when I first posted. I am thinking of the Edge Evolution w/attitude, or the Sct with a 5" Silverline single exhaust, and a injen Power flow air intake system. I was also thinking for the tranny going with the Bully Dog shift enhancer or the Banks Power TransCommand. Give me an idea what you guys think. Sure would appreciate it. This is not locked in stone, just an idea. Thanks
