HELP range sensor problem

Hello I am new here and hope someone has had a problem like this. bought truck with blown motor had a rebuild motor done as block had holes in it so I never had truck running (was a contractor truck and guessing they were on the way to a job when motor blew up) would not turn over with key have checked all wiring and pcm (pulled out and put in another truck started that with key no problem) replaced range sensor (also needed temp sensor in trans) have wiggled gear selector checked relays (also reverse as the bu lights dont work) have power into range sensor and out. have checked fan and that is good as well. Truck runs with jumper switch on starter and have jumped relay and starts as it should. What did I miss a ground or?? have pan off again thought it could be harness in there but is good as well.
