7.3 diesel, difficult to restart after warm-up

This is my first post so please forgive any errors.
I have a 1992 F-250 4x4 with a 7.3 diesel. Three years ago I replaced the fuel injection pump as per clymar manual. I did this because I was using some wvo mixture my son told me about. As a result of this mixture, I ruined the pump and had to replace it. The problem I have had since this is that the engine is difficult to restart after it has warmed up and sat for a few minutes. During the replacement process, I removed the TPS and did not mark its original settings. I read a post the other day which helped me reset the TPS back to 1 volt at idle and 4.3 volts at wide open throttle. I understand that this is what controls the transmission shifting points. I have noticed that the cold start selonoid engages when the engine is cold and stays engaged until warm up.
Has anyone got any ideas what could cause this problem? Thanks for any help in advance.
