Please excuse me if its off topic, but its an issue I work with quite a bit. The rights of civilians under the TN Constitution and the 2nd Amendment.
There are chapters of the Tennessee Firearms Association meeting across the state working on issues like restaurant carry, local parks, etc.
There is a chapter that meets in the Nashville area on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Golden Corral in Hermitage.
Our guest speaker this month will be Rep. Joshua Evans from Springfield. Rep. Evans will be talking with us about how to be more effective as voters in working with legislators, what he thinks we might be able to see as new laws in 2010 relative to hunters, shooters and permit holders (such as the ability of permit holders to leave their weapons in their car at work even if parked on the employer's parking lot), local park standardizations, changes in hunting regulations, etc.
If you are interested, the meeting is from 7 to 8 pm but most arrive around 5:30 to 6:30 to eat (seating gets to be an issue). We are in the large conference area and get a TFA discount rate for dinner.
