Request - I'm moving
I'm getting ready to move at the end of July, and I'm hoping to avoid renting a U-Haul. I also want to avoid making 4 or 5 trips, so I want to use a trailer. Problem is, I don't have one and they're immpossible to rent. A buddy of mine has a 24 foot race car trailer, PERFECT, but he's racing so no can do.
Is there anybody out there that knows how or where to go to rent a 20 - 24 foot covered trailer. It would be cheaper than the uhaul, no miles to get charged, etc. All around the better way to go, but currently batting zero...... ![]() ![]()

Don't know if you have thought about it, but if you have any friends with a big stock or horse trailer they work wonders!

WHere in TN are you located. I keep my cattle trailer clean enough to move furniture in. Thats what we always use.

I'm in Sevierville, moving to Seymour. About 30 minutes away to get me closer to Knoxville for work purposes. Plus I just love Seymour. Great little town, even though it's growing rapidly. Just got their 5th traffic light.

I wish I could help but like you I don't have a trailer. Is there a place near you that builds trailers? They might rent you one for the weekend. Best of luck in any case!

I remember U-haul used to do a local rental. This is where you rent by the day and get no charge for mileage. If they still do this, then rent from the town your moving too.
Then when your done you drop it off. This is also referred to as a two way and or return rental. Meaning your returning the equipment to the store you rented it from. |

U-Haul does rent trailers, but they are 12 footers that you can barely stand in. I need to move a three bedroom house.
I'm pretty much giving up to the notion that I either have to make several trips with my buddies and their trucks, or just rent the big truck to load it in and be done with it. ![]() ![]() If I could find a trailer to rent, I'd be tickled pink....I'm just a bit of a cheap bastard so I hate to let go of the money to rent some old azz U-Haul when I have a perfectly good truck to pull a trailer with...
