TCE/Wilwood Front and Rear Big Brake Kits

Introducing the TCE/Wiwood front and rear BIG BRAKE KITS.

Below are current descriptions of our kits and fitment comments pertaining to all 1999-2012 F250/F350 Vehicles.

The TCE 16" Front Kit:
This monster size kit is what started it all for the truck kits! We take the popular and proven Wilwood TC6R caliper and pair it with their massive 16 x 1.375" wide directional cast, 60 vane rotors for superior thermal management. The larger rotor leverage is key in torque production while it also greatly increases thermal capacity over the stock rotor. In short efficiency is greatly increased and fade is greatly reduced. While we don't make huge claims of stopping distance changes (often tire limited) what we can tell you is that they will stop as every time as the do the first time- and that's really what big truck kits need.

Combined with our in house produced Radial Mount Brackets and customized Wilwood rotor hats we've produced the following finished product!

Each Front kit includes:
16" Rotors
TC6R calipers
Brake pads
Aluminum rotor hats
Mounting brackets
Stainless Steel flex hoses (various lengths)
All required hardware

Installed these awesome kits not only look the part but work as well!

So, what could make such an awesome kit even better? Why adding a REAR kit of course!

Don't overlook the value of a rear big brake kit folks. The rear end of your truck is heavy. And if you tow that means even more weight. Just like your trailer brakes help slow the trailer the rear brakes can help slow the truck. Where there's weight there's a need for brakes. Once again we take the TC6R caliper and fit it to another massive 16" disc. But this time we pair it with our custom iron rotor hat to retain the full factory parking brake. A drop on fit this rear kit replaces the one piece rear rotor with our two piece design and six pot caliper. Custom radial mount brackets, hoses and hardware as required. Combined with the front this shifts about 3% more rear brake bias into your rig offing not only not only greater thermal capacity but nearly 20% more total brake torque over stock.

Each Rear kit includes:
16" Rotors
TC6R calipers
Brake pads
Iron rotor hats/drums
Mounting brackets
Stainless Steel flex hoses
All required hardware

Our kits are offered in both BLACK and RED pre applied powder coat colors. Optional YELLOW, SILVER and BLUE can be had by special order. We also offer optional ($135 per kit) cross drilled/slotted rotor finishes.

Earlier vehicles and optional DRW trucks may pose yet unknown issues. Please consult with us prior to your purchase to evaluate your needs fully. We want you happy with your purchase and rely on customer input at times for helping establish some of the quirks often associated with such cross fits.

And we do the FACEBOOK thing too!

What do you get for $5500?

Complete set up of course! No hidden parts or odd items to search out...doing our best to assure you that what you see is both what you get, AND what you need.

UPDATE on fit:

The late 2012 and 2013 trucks will not accept the current kits as hoped. There are difference in the knuckles and caliper mounts that are not the same as the earlier trucks.

We've down dated the current kits to reflect fit up to mid 2012. Currently working with a customer who claims to have a late '12 and we have to work on fit issues. I've not personally checked the build date on it but as soon as I see it or can make for some easy look-see inspections as to what to look for I'll update this again.

No special work to mount these as our billet aluminum brackets bolt right up and use the stock bolts. In this case; trim the dust plate back is required and then shims are supplied to move the bracket a bit to center the caliper.

Regarding the front kit for a 2012;
Are the pistons sealed?
Will I feel any change in pedal effort/ movement?

Thanks- the kit looks awesome!

The TC6R truck calipers are non booted calipers. This is true of roughly 95% of the Wilwood product line. Having used and sold their calipers for roughly 20yrs I've seldom seen this to really be an issue. Including a customer with over 300k miles on a kit. (car)

Yes the feel will be slightly different; firmer, more responsive and more linear.

You're welcome. The work as well as they look.

Carry @ CT Performance helped complete the Excursion and earlier F250 kits a couple years back. He'll be available also to offer you these kits now and in the future if you send your truck in for other work at his shop.
