I hope you dont mean you stock wheels? They are too narrow to run a 40" tire.... plus a 40 on an 18 on these trucks will give you way to much sidewall flex and towing is going to be a biitch

yea im puttin some black rockstars on it. I hardly tow know so i wasnt reallt worried about the sidewalls.

why 18's though? schit, Im running 40's on 22's and even thats a lot of sidewall... but it lookd good...

idk, i like the look of a lot of sidewall. ive seen 40s with 18s and liked it so i figured i go with that. just outta curiosity, what gears do you think i should run with the 40s.

I agree, that will be tight. I wouldn't think I would run more than 38's on my 8" lift. 40's would be very tight fit. I ran 37's on a 6" lift for a while and it would rub when turning into my driveway
