My 4" lift install
Well the lift got here, and it was short a few things. Namely the new swaybar end links, and the carrier bearing spcers. I called Marty from truck toyz, and he said that BDS would drop ship them to me ASAP. Well I went ahead with the lift anyway. I just flipped the swaybar link bracket over and put it outside the frame and reused the OE ones for now, and I figured I would deal with any vibration I may have in the driveshaft until my spacer kit got here.
The install went pretty well all in all. It took me and a buddy 9 hours start to finish. A lot of that time was spent looking for crap we had strung from one end of the shop to the other, and trying to figure why the impact guns weren't working... ![]() The finished product looks too low in the rear, so i'll probably end up getting a single 6" rear block to replace the factory 2" and the added 3" that I have now. Either that or an add-a-leaf, IDK yet. ![]() Anyway, here are some pics of the install.... Front-before ![]() New vs. old springs ![]() The pitman arm didn't give us too much trouble....of course you can see we had extra help. ![]() ![]() ![]() Front-after ![]() Rear ![]() Look how long the U-bolt were!! I think they sent me ones for a 6". We had to get the nuts hand-tight, and then I cut the bolts off with a grinder just so I could get a socket on them. As you can see I had to use four washers to keep the nuts on the threads too. ![]() This is the only afeter pic I have so far. It looks lower here in th rear than it actually is in person. I'll try to get some better pics soon. ![]() Oh and heres my buddies truck
