Recommended shocks for 4.5" lift on 05-07 F-250?

Last year I decided to go with a Rough Country 4.5" lift and got everything installed. The kit originally came with the white bodied old shocks. I talked to RC for a while as the new kits were supposed to come with the silver bodied Nitro 2.0 shocks. After receiving 3 sets of the wrong shocks I finally just gave up. Also, from what I've read nobody has ever said the RC shocks were any good and had other recommendations. Also, I'm sure going to a better shock would make it ride a bit nicer as well. I'm not looking for anything crazy as I don't offroad much and we get salt here. 4.5" RC lift on 35x12.5x18's. Thanks guys!

Bilstein 5100's will work. Don't expect miracles since you are using RC springs. I'm not saying they are junk but the price reflects the engineering.

Yea, I hear ya. I actually ordered the Biltsein 5100's last night per the 4" front lift application and the 2"-4" rear lift application. I wanted a decent shock but didn't want to spend a ton of money as this is just my daily driver, scrap hauler, and winter beater truck. It doesn't see much off-road action either. Everything I read pointed to the external resevoirs and dual shocks being completely unecessary unless you're off-roading so I'll just stick with the non-resi and non-dual shock setup. It came down to either the 5100's or the Rancho 9000's and the Bilsteins seemed to have slightly better feedback. I may change out the RC front coils eventually, but we'll see how they ride with the Bilsteins. I just know the RC shocks aren't known to be that great, especially since a set of the Nitro 2.0's are only like 160 bucks. I think I got the Bilsteins for like 280 shipped.
