Carli 2.5" w/ 285/75R18

Ordered some Fuel D511 for my 08. Looking to order a 2.5" Commuter kit and a high stabilizer bar to finally get this truck to ride right.

Im now trying to decide what tires I should go with. Im leaning towards the A/T II or the M/T. Has anyone tried the 285/75R18? Looks to be a 35x11.5". Does this narrow of a tire look funny on a full size truck or would the 35x12.50R18 look better. I have 35x12.5R20s on there right now with no rubbing issues.

The other thing is the weight rating and psi. I can't stand the damn sensors going off, i think the 08s are set at 65psi. The 35x12.5" are only 65psi rated and the rest are 80psi along with a better weight rating. I do tow every other weekend but ride-ability is my main concern. I guess I can always air them down past the sensors and just deal with the damn light.

Whats everyones thoughts? 285/75R18 look OK and ride fine?

Thanks

Geez, just saw the white truck with the Commuter and the 315/70R18. Looks perfect. Think they will go good with my 18x9" 5.75"BS

Love at the info on this forum

Now what too do with the TPS?

That is the tire I'd go with. The truck you saw was George at 8Lug Truck Gear's Super-Cab. Truck looks and rides awesome. I would recommend a 315-70-18 or a 35-12.5-18 as they're a more square profile tire... the 285 - 70 are a bit narrow and tall so you can't play with the air pressure as much. You'll be very happy with the 315's from what I've heard, though!

Here is a pic of the setup that you are asking about.

The customer originally had stock 20's with 34" Duratracs and the truck still road pretty rough. We swapped those out for these and the ride greatly improved. We ended up running the fronts at 45 psi and the rears at 35 psi when the truck was empty.

I assume that you are talking about my truck. If so that is the exact specs on my wheels as well. As far as TPMS I turned it off using my H&S Tuner.
