Looking for new shocks

Hi

I have a 2006 F350 and I am looking to replace my factory shocks. The truck is at shock height and will not be lifting or leveling the truck. I am looking at the Bilstein 5100s or Fox 2.0 IFP shocks. I have had the 5100s before and I thought they were ok. The Bilstein 5100 I can get for $299 and the Fox shocks I can get for $437 both shipped to my door. I am looking for a smoother ride and just want to know what you guys think.

thanks

Matt

If you really want a smooth ride then get the Kings pintops 2.5 from Carli. Not cheap though.

I would love to try those adjustable ICon shocks. Those are like $250.00 each so out of your budget too.
I will say go for a adjustable one.

Where have u seen this icon "adjustable" shock at? I've never heard of it NOR is it on there site.

Op 5100 and fox are gonna be close in ride! You've had 5100 before so you know what they ride like. If you liked it before, why spend another 137$ to see if you'd like fox? Also, hit up carli suspensions, they actually have 5100 and fox shocks specifically valved for the super duties. I dont know price but worth a shot!

Never mind, they were on sale at MKM for around $500.00 but that was each and not a pair. They are listed now for 899.00 and they are the Omega Bypass shocks. I'm sure they are fantastic but for $3600.00 a set you either have to be filthy rich or just plain stupid to drop that kind of money on shocks.....................

I now wished I grabbed 2 for the front at least to have seen the difference in ride, I have the I-Con 7-1/2" coils already. But that's crazy , sorry lol

I will say the Rancho 9000XL shocks are pretty good, I like being able to soften out the ride when trucks empty. Can't do that with those 5100's and I know because I threw those in the trash to install the Rancho's.

Good luck with your choice

Did everyone miss this? I don't think Carli or Icon even makes anything for a stock height truck.

Yes, they do. But you have to PM them and ask. Just because its not on their site doesn't mean they dont have it.

They dont advertise a complete lift for 7.3 SD trucks but they do make them. Its on my wish list for a complete 4.5" lift/level system from Carli.
