Do I need a Track Bar Adjustment???
I just bought a pair of Rough Country 2" Leveling Add-A-Leafs for my 2001 F350.
AM I GOING TO HAVE TO DO ANY TRACK BAR ADJUSTMENTS??? |

Incorrect, when adding a leveling kit or 2inch-2.5inch lift kit on the front end. You do not need to replace the trac bar. It is all geometry. When you add the 2-2.5 inch lift all your doing is changing the angle of the tracbar. It will drop enough to allow for this 2-2.5 inch lift. That is actually less then your trac bar moves when the suspension is fully compressed or expanded. This is the same reason why you do not need new shocks with that much lift. The stock shock size will allow you to run the 2-2.5 inch lift. Because the shocks have enough travel to allow for that lift. When you go to a 4 inch lift some companies provide a relocation bracket or a new trac bar. Majority of the companies supply you with a drop bracket to relocate the trac bar. The only reason for this is because this lift goes beyond what the travel is for the stock trac bar. If your axle shifted when installing a 2-2.5 inch leveling kit something else is wrong. |

There is no need for an adjustable track bar, unless you plan on going with a bigger lift down the road. The extra 2" will shift your axle about .5". As the angle of the track bar increases your axle shift increases exponentially, as does your bump steer. Nothing to worry about with a 2" leveling kit though.

Steeper angle on a fixed bar is going to pull the axle to the driver's side when you increase the height of the suspension if stock upper and lower trac bar mounts/brackets are kept. It won't shift a lot with a leveling kit, but will shift some. With the snow plow prep package on my 07, my axle is pulled to the driver's side from the factory. |

When I put my leveling kit on my axle came over to the drivers side. If you looked down the drivers side of the truck the tire stuck out about 1/3 of the way. The passanger side stuck out about 1/5 of the way. When had the adjustable trac bar put on my truck the steering wheel was 180* off. Now the axle is center and the tires stick out evenly on each side.
