Now, if the radius arm bracket at the frame was replaced with a drop bracket that would correct for this. With a leveling kit, you can get away with just doing the cams to adjust camber back to stock specs. Hope this helps. |

I knew that... I kept visualizing my wife's a-arm setup on her Dodge and couldn't see how it would affect camber. That makes total sense, Dan! I'll be ordering those up very soon. In fact, I've added them and the Icon 2.5" leveling springs into my cart once already, but didn't have a good excuse to give the wife. Do you have the part number for the stock Ford rubber isolator (I think that's what it was called) that my 2.5" rubber leveling block replaced?

I was just thinking... I suppose a way to visualize this would be to do the following. Take a can of a beverage of your choice. Hold it in your hand. Extend your arm outward so that the can is vertical. Lower your arm. The upper part of the can tilts further and further forward the more you lower it. Just like with the trac bar, your shoulder is the radius arm mounted to the frame of the truck. Keep in mind we're only talking 2.25* cams that come with the leveling kits so it's not a huge shift. I don't have that part number handy, but I'll see if I can't get it. |
