crocked steering wheel
i installed my rough country 3" lift on my 07 F250this weekend. its simply coil springs and a track bar for the front. can get more straight foreward. after putting it all back together and taking it for a spin i noticed my steering wheel is rotated 90 degrees clockwise. anyone else had this happen? did i possibly allow the front axle to drop to far and pulled the steering stem out? i'm pretty stumped on this one

I agree with an alignment.
But, it's easy to straighten the steering wheel. With the Engine OFF, Turn the key to the ON position so that the wheel doesn't lock. On the drag link there is a adjustment sleeve with a clamp on each side. Loosen the two bolts for the clamps, and then rotate the sleeve until the wheel gets turned to center. Then tighten the bolts for the clamps back down and take it for a test drive. |
