How much have you spent on your supension?

I am considering a leveling kit or a 4 inch left for my 03 f350. For a 4 inch pro comp lift kit including 4 shocks I was qouted $926 for parts and $ 500 to install. How does that compare to what you spent?

for a lil more you can get a 6" kit bud... the labor sounds about right... i would spend the extra money and go 6".. you will get bored with the 4" pretty quickly.. take it from someone that is on his 3rd lift lol... first a 3.5" leveling kit, then 6 and now im on 8" thinking of going 10"

let me know if you need a price on the 6" kit

I did mine all myself with help of my brother... All you need is some basic mechanical knowledge and some tools.... 900 dont sound bad for the lift though

You can get a complete 6" for the same price...

IMO its like buying a boat...buy the biggest engine you can at the time, cause later you will want more.....I have spent MUCH money up grading from the original cheap 6" to now a 10"

Ok, so how any of you guys put your a 4'' or 6'' lift in yourself or with just the help of a buddy? Which brand do you have and how long did it take. I would love to save the money and I enjoy working on the my truck, but don't want to screw it up. Plus my truck is the only vehical I own so if I run into trouble and don't get it down I will be ridding my bike.

most kits are complete bolt ons.. get yourself some big jacks... like 6 tons.... its actually pretty simple.. the rear should come with blocks and the front is just new leaf springs plus the steering components... i say it takes you all day but you can save 500 on install and go with a larger kit...

Another question for you those of you who installed your own lifts. What is a pitman arm puller and tie rod seperator? Did you have to have this tool to install your lift?
