Most likely with a 6" kit you will need brake line extensions. Most kits come with a brake line mount relocation bracket, but I like the idea of the lines better. You can get a Pro comp 6.5 lift kit for under 1000 bucks shipped.

Just over a hundred bucks. 4 Monroe GasMatic LT shocks (factory replacement) Did 'em myself. LOL, that's not what you were looking for was it.

YUP,YUP lost a few winks myself over what I have spent not only on lift.
For the lift though........ I'd Do The Same!!
Loose the 4" idea ...... 6" wont cost ya much more!! You'll be glad later!!

anybody got any pics of 4" and 6" systems? I just bought a 2003 f350 crewcab I plan on lifting and I am trying to visualize what I want.
