loud powersteering pump

I have a 01 F-350 and as soon as you start the truck I can hear the power steering pump, even when you are driving down the road you can hear it groaning. So the question is what is a good replacement or is there a rebuild kit available? Napa has one for $65 but I have not had the best luck with there parts. Any input?

I had this same problem with my 01 F250 7.3. Power steering pump made a ton of racket no matter whether I was turning the wheel or not. I wound up flushing the system with about 4 quarts of Mercon V ATF and the noise went away. There is a good video on you tube that shows you exactly how to do the flush. I would start there before replacing parts unless you know for sure that the pump is going out.

I mite try that I just got my 01F250 and the pump wines but I've had other ford trucks and cars and most all of the power steering pumps made noises, but they where gas powered also not sure if that would make a difference lol
