Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4 lift questions

I'm doing some research on lift kits. What are the major differences between Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4 lift kits? I know the bigger the number the more expensive it gets, is that due to more parts? Is worth going to a Stage 3 or Stage 4 lift or should I not waste my money? Looking into either Icon or Carli. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

ICON the different stages are mainly upgraded shocks. I believe 3 and 4 also come with dual steering stabalizers as well. If you go to they have all the different stages explained and pictured very well.

Carli ranks there kits a little different. You can't go wrong with a Pintop.
