A home brew junkyard shackle reverse for 97 f350?

I was at the junk yard today and saw a lifted excursion and a 99 f250 4x4. both gassers. I dont see these trucks much in the junkyard.

I looked at the front leaf spring brackets. they look completly bolted on. I pondered removing them to make my own shackle reverse kit for my 97 CCLB 4x4.

just wondering if this is possible or if someone has done it, and if it requires much work. i know the reverse shackle kits out there are $300+ dollars.

I just thought of maybe getting around this price in exhcange for some $30 brackets.

I hope I posted in the right spot. Ill try over in the obs section too.

thanks for your consideration on this. cheers

You could make it work but your going to have to do some fab work. If your just doing the RSK without SD springs, you can add a shackle to the rear hanger then try to figure out something for the front hanger which you might have to extend down some. I used the sky RSK with SD springs on my 95, there is a bar running between the front hangers to strengthen them.
