Help Decide On Lift

Hello All,

I am torn between the Icon and Carli systems that are listed below. I have a 2012 F-250 Crew Cab and intend on putting 20" rims along with 35" tires on the truck. What are your opinions on the following two options?

Icon Stage 4 4.5" Lift:

I dont have experience with either of these brands but i will say each of those icon shocks are 1000 dollars

Let me know if you have any questions on the Carli system... If i were you, i would save some money and grab our Pintop 2.5 (4.5") suspension system with a full leaf pack in the rear. It costs less than either of the above you listed and rides better than the base coilover system when you add the full leafs. The only reason to run the C/O is if you want height adjustability or to run a bypass shock. If not, the independent shock/coil setup in the pintop will give you the same travel and ride quality as the valving is identical. The pintop setup is $4,220.00 (+200 for stainless) and the full replacement leaf spring replacement is $455 over the cost of the kit. That comes in under the price of the coilover with add-a-packs. Further, we recommend 37" tires with our 4.5" systems on no more than a 9" wide wheel with 5"-5.5" of backspacing.

The other good thing, if something goes wrong and you snap a shock shaft or something, you can limp it home. Break a coilover rod-end, and you're not going anywhere...

A 4 link kit will ride better.

How do you use your truck?

4.5" and 35" will have lots of tire clearance as 37" will clear fine..2.5" may fit better for looks?

For best ride quality rear springs are best but will loose some towing capacity.

You may also want to look at a Pure Performance 4 link Chase kit.

I have heard good about carli, icon, and pp. I dont think you could go wrong either way. I do not have experience with either but have heard people say the carli kit rides a bit better than icon, but idk.

Does anyone make a good rear spring below a 4in spring? How do these rear springs compare to oem springs?
