Loose Steering

I have a 97 F350 and blew a power steering hose. I replaced it, put fluid bck in. It seemed fine but the next day the steering got looser. I now have about 1/4 of a wheel of freeplay. Is it possible to get air in the system.

not sure why its looser but if u got air in system it would be harder. also air would burp itself out when u turn wheel from lock to lock. maybe old hose had restriction and new one flowa more fluid.
