driveshafts for lift?
ive been reading about lift kits and ive almost decided on an 8 inch kit for my 2006 f250 c/c with 38 inch tires the only thing the lift kits dont say in them is if you need to have new driveshafts made or are the factory ones long enough

on the 99-03s the driveshaft is really not long enough, one of our work trucks is lifted that high, and it ruined the u joints, carrier barings, then the axle. I would recomed a new one, or a smaller lift.

i have never heard of a driveshaft that is to short ruining the rearend at most it would ruin the carrier bearing

rear end you just need a carrier drop... the front one will have to be lengthen around 2-2.5" i had mine lengthened 2.5" and it works great
