Crappy handling

Lately my 02 f250 has begun to have iffy steering especially when braking hard and just general driving it has 260k on her with a decent amount of play in the steering. I had my buddy move the steering while I looked under the truck and the play seems to be coming from the steering box. I also did a block leveling kit in the past couple months and I checked my alinement by looking down the tires and they seem to line up perfectly and I don't have any vibration. I also have used mt tires on the front and two different crappy used at's on the back and it is 4x4. I had to replace a ball joint on my drivers side 6 months ago , I should of did the other side but it didn't have any play and my wallet was dry.
