i have an 04 f-350 and when i go over a bump it makes a knocking noise right under the drivers floor pan. my dads 04 f-250 did the same thing. took it in and they said they fixed his but it didnt do anything. any ideas on what it could possibly be?
I just fixed mine, check my post "The old clunking noise". Its a series of problems starting with the loudest item, the sway bar, followed by worn spring pads and spring bushings. Sway bar bushings and spring pads you can repair easily, spring bushings is more time as the springs have to be removed. Im going to be doing that sometime in the future, the main noise went away with the sway bar and I m sure after I put the pads in tomorrow it will help even more. I will update that post tomorrow with my experience.
