Powder Coating axles

I see several examples of trucks that are lifted with the axles and other parts that appear to be powder coated. How specialized is this process, where can this be done and at what cost?

the axle would have to be completely disassembled, painted and rebuilt... not exactly a cheap option, but looks killer...

Just to give you an idea, I'm going to get a tube frame for a '56 Vette and it is going to cost me around $500 to get it done.

The pumpkin has to be disassembled and the axle has to be degreased. I usually charge around $180 for an axle.
