steering popping..

hey guys another question. i've got a 02 crew cab, lgbd, 4x4. it's slightly lifted but i don't know how much. it clears 35x15x16's with slight rubbing in the front. and the front sits about 1.5 inches higher than the back. but the problem i'm having is when i turn left. when i turn right i don't hear anything unatural, but when i turn left, it sounds like the power steering pump is popping or the steering shaft. but not sure, and if it was the pump why wouldn't it do it to the right also? it also makes the same noise when i go over ripple bumps. like a couple of small bumps in a row. i'm confused guys, help me out please.

thanks in advance,

Sgt Bishop

Try to jack up one side at a time and move the tire both up and down and side to side. That will tell you if your ball joints are bad or tie rods. Ball joints go out pretty quick on these. Good Luck.

sorry i should have said that i checked them. my bad. the only ones that are bad are the sway bar end links. the ball joints don't have any play or wiggle to them. i'm so confused on what to do. does anybody know how to check a pwrstr'n pump? i turned off the truck and tried to move the str shaft and it was pretty tight. ARRRGGGHHHHH. how much is a pwrstr'n pump for these trucks?

thanks,

Sgt Bishop
