leveling kit steering wheel issues
i recently added a 2.5 leveling kit with radious arm drops, track bar bracket spacers, shock & bumpstop extensions. this left the steering wheel at a 12-6 o'clock position. took the rig to get aligned at firestone and now the steering wheel has a 8-2 o'clock position. they also told me i needed a new right side outer tie rod which i had them replaced due to it being loose/etc. gonna bring it back tommorow to see if the can fix it. what could it be?
![]() also i hear a faint "clunk" noise whenever i accelerate past 1st gear, this was before the level kit . |

It a very simple procedure to straighten out your wheel, u can do in your driveway in about 5 mins!! I dont know the tecnical term, but the union on the drag link by your pass tire, loosen the 13 mm bolts and use a pipe wrench to rotate the union piece. Turn one full turn and your wheel should be close. You will have turnthe union a little to see which way it turns the steering wheel. Make sure your steering is unlocked, keys in ignition. This does not affect alignment, it only centers the steering wheel.
