I was looking in to buying a 4" or 4.5" lift kit for my 2000 f250 XLT. Was looking at Pro Comp, and Rancho. what's your opinions?

first off, what are your intended uses ? off roading or just driving....
off road, look into ICON replacement springs for better ride, and articulation. just driving, look at a shackle hanger kit for the front, and a small replcement block for the rear ( i do recommend replacement springs for the rear ) , but to keep cost down, a small block lift isnt to bad.the shackle hanger will retain factory ride while achieving the lift. |

one more note, do not go the inexpensive route just to save money, most kits ( one you mentioned ) are not always complete, and by the time you finish out, the kits was alomost as expensive as an engineered system. the less route usually hasd thicker leafs with less quantity, equalling a stiff ride.
the better systems have more leafs but are a little thinner and ride way better. |
