Question disc brake rotor replace

Has anyone had to replace their rear rotors on a super duty with dual rear wheels? I have one that's warped and after attempting to replace it, i found out the hub has to be pulled off after the axle shaft is removed in order to unbolt the rotor from the hub. It takes a special tool to reomve the hub nut which I can't even find, let alone buying one. If anyone has had to do this, is there some way of removing the nuts w/o purchasing one of these special tools? Thanks, Clancy

When I get home I will look at the repair manual for you. What year truck is it. I didn't do all that on my 2002. Just had to remove the caliper and caliper mount. Then use a rubber mallet and hit the rotor off. Then put the new on with new pads and put everything back together.

Kinda just like the front. But the rear has the parking brake as part of the rotor. On my 2002 the parking brake is a drum brake. The rotor has the drum as part of it. When you put the rotor on. It slides over the parking brake shoes.
