early 99 leveling kit compatible?

hey guys,

i was recently browsing craigslist and found a leveling kit. its a rough country add a leaf. cheap. brand new. im just wondering if it will fit my early 99. i googled the part number the seller has on one of the springs but i cannot find any info. is there a vendor on here that may be able to search the part number (90803400) and see if it fits an early 99? someone told me that the springs were different from an e99 to 2000-04. thanks for your help!

I know some of the early trucks had what was called a crash bar the went across the frame below the front hanger mounts. Other than that, I don't know. Have you checked with Rough Country?

Now for the part you didn't want to hear, my Rough Country add-a-leaf SUCKED! First it bent the top leaf when I installed it between the springs like the instructions said. So I put it under the springs like every other add-a-leaf install. The add-a-leaf made a W shape and was gouging into the lower leaf! What a P.O.S.!

I recommend a real lift, or spring hangers. If you go hangers, make sure to get something for the shackle end as well.

thanks for the feed back...i wasnt really pumped about the add-a-leaf lift but i couldnt beat the price....i would like to do the shackle lift as it will ride like stock...i will pass on this though...i found a set of cheap wheels and tires that i will pick up instead!
