lift/ tire size options....
I leave for a deployment in a couple days and upon my return I am going to hunt for an 08-10 EXT cab FX4 short bed. I have done stupid amount of research but not certian on the lift yet just know I will go with with new leafs.
Here is the plan, 4.5" lift (coil/ or springs and 4 link) and the Hannemann fiberglass fenders and bedsides... I want to run 38-40's but not with a huge lift... I like the short fat look and believe this will work... I haven't taken any measurements but looking around I should be able to clear them... I want to over build it so it will last and I can beat on it when I want and still go on the highway and around town... I know sounds ike an oxy moron. Suggestions or recommendation? |

4.5" with 40's is pushing your luck
6" with 40's is more like it or even 8" |

Even with fiberglass 5" bulge bed and fenders?
I am not set on 40's just want to fit the largest tire possible. I am sure it will come down to test fitting after I decide the kit... Just looking to see if any one has tried it. |

ya it will, maybe get all the fender stuff done then worry about the tires?

Sounds a lot like a build that I am planning right now. |

So, I found this on a 6.0 and it is the EXACT same setup I want on a 6.4...
fiberglass bedsides?? With that, if I can get away with just a leveling kit, what is the absolute best for ride quality and beating on? This is open to onions but not arguments, please and thank you. |
