Bilstein's FINALLY

So I did it. I finally got rid of my crappy Fabtech shocks and switched over to the 5100 series.

The difference is night and day, they ride so much better in every way. If you have not switched yet and been thinking about it. DO IT. Just spend the cash and go for it.

I ordered mine from 4 wheel parts because I have a store local to me and got away pretty good.

not that the 5100 isnt a greeat shock, but even upping the ante to the 7100 series, allows you to adjust the valving for an even more superior ride. after having aa truck with Carli's 2.0 system, it will be hard not to atleast go for the 7100, if not the 9100's.

I've been wanting the 5100s for about a year, but I am waiting to pull the trigger until I put the leveling kit on. I'm waiting on that until I need new tires... Part of me just wants to do it all right now (actually, every part of me does, except for my wallet!)

DO IT

Just order the leveling kit and the shocks and be done with it. Nothing but joy will come out of it, lol

When I put bilstiens on my truck the difference was huge. You do pay more for them but the ride quality is SO much better.

I have a quick question about these. The 5100's are not the same as the Bilstein Heavy Dutys right? The HD's are gold with blue boot and the 5100's are silver with black boots? I am totally confused and am trying to make sure I have this straight before I do some online shopping.

Also, the HD's are not as good as the 5100's correct?

Im wanting some 5160 but I don't seem to be getting feed back from people who have them. I do a lot of off highway driving and I want comfort. Got crappy bouncy Ranchos right now.

two parts,

the HD and the 5100 i believe are the same shock, it is the application that differs, the HD is for stock height apps, and come with a lifetime warranty. the 5100 is speced for " custom apps " for leveled or lifted trucks.... and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

i am not up totally on the 5160, but the 5125 is available in several different valving specs..... a close front would be roughly 250/ 75

The 5160's valving was developed by Shane in Bilsteins racing dept specially for the '05 up trucks..they do ride better than the #5100's.

We can get silver Bilsteins for stock height trucks..
