Moog vs XRF vs Motorcraft greasable ball joints?

My truck needs ball joints and I can't decide what to go with.. I did a search and it seems hit or miss with moogs these days and alot of people like XRF? My truck had Carquest ( some say there moog?) put in 60,000 miles ago and there bad already!

I can get motorcraft greasables for a screaming deal ( maybe even free!) but I don't want to do this job again so I'm not worried about paying more for a better part..

So what the best route to go now a days?? Any post I found were a year or 2 old..

July last year, I put on a set of XRF upper/lower balljoints in on both sides of my truck.

This July, I had to replace the upper balljoint on the passenger side (with less than 30K miles on it). I replaced the upper and lower on that side with Moog..the drivers side is still tight. I am waiting for the day when I have to dig back in on that side.

For that reason, I don't recommend XRF....

I was going to recommend them

but if you get the motorcrafts for Free they are the same or better than Moog

These trucks are balljoint eaters Why ford speced balljoints on a King pin axle is beyond Me

They are definitely not for everyone. They are a little over 600 bucks, but you don't have to press them in an out to mess with them. I know some guys who have seriously put them to the test on 46's, so I know they will last...

Which Moog ball joints are you guys referring to? I was on Rock Auto and found everything from cheap bastard Moog to their "Problem Solver" series. I replaced all 4 of mine with said Problem Solver and paid right at $200 for the set. Take off the knuckles, spend about $40 at a machine shop for R&R, re-install knuckles, done.

I just put the Raybestos Professional grage ball joints on my 06 front end after checking out this Vid. the cost was like 180.00 for the set. I used a ball joint press from O'Rellys for free. Pretty easy install.
