Shock

So I am replacing my shocks and I can not get the front drivers side off. The shaft of the shock just keeps spinning when I go to break the bolt loose. I have tried everything to hold the shaft still, wrenches, pliers, pipe wrench, etc...

Anyone got any ideas that might help me out?
