HIGH STEER KNUCKLE

crazy question here but is has this steering knuckle had something welded on it for the drag link. didn't think cast iron could be welded. but if you look closely at the pic it appears to be. the reason i ask is i neeed my drag link higher.

yeah don't weld to the knuckle, not a great idea. People do it all the time and most trucks that I have seen that have been welded are more show then go... LOL It isn't something I would trust driving down the freeway.

It is too bad that nobody has made a casting for a high steer knuckle for the newer trucks....

That's what I thought. Next question. Has anyone machined the top the drilled and tapped it?

Check out this thread, I know it's for the 99-04 knuckles but i think he has the 05 & up in the works.

Thats what i've been thinking of doing. gotta guy locally who can machine it and do it just wanted to check out all options first. thanks for your help gentlemen
