4x4 Shocks on 2wd?
I searched for the answer but couldn't find it. Sorry if this is a silly question but I came across some new shocks off of an 09 4x4 and am wondering if they'll fit on my 00 2wd? I'd imagine the rears to swap but not sure about the front due to the different type of suspension.
Thanks in advance! |

more than anything, the length of the shock and the amount of travel wont work, it would bottom out and leave a very small window of travel

Maybe not considering how the shocks are mounted up front on a 99-04 4x4. Take a front shock out and compare its expanded and compressed lengths to the 4x4 shock. I'd be more concerned about the compressed length since bottoming a shock out under load could damage the shock mounts, as in possibly rip them off of the truck.
