I had a guy who owns hi own garage/fabrication shop make me some traction bars for me truck. they are 3/4 heim joints, with 1.25 diameter and 0.250 wall DOM tubing. he made them 65" long, which I should of had them made either 60 or 70 inches long. The fuel tank strap on the drivers side gave us heck trying to get the mounts welded. but we got them in and they feel good. Makes the truck drive better too.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() these things are well made and his welding and fab skills are really good! He is located in Sylva, NC and he owns Heavy Metal Fabrication. if any of you want his number or more info, let me know. I def reccomend this guy. Oh, and he only charged me $300. I know if I could weld and had a welder, i could have done this for cheaper, but heck, Id rather pay a local guy who knows his stuff rather than 2 or 3 times the price to a big company on the web. |

Good luck with them. How did you address the differing travel path the axle takes from being mounted on a leaf spring, and the fixed radial path of the bars?

Heim joints...they travel in all directions. |

Yeah, the heim joints swing in all directions for travel.
