ICON coil overs any good???

looking for a suspension upgrade and found coil overs for $1600

are these any good???

All honesty upgrading to coil overs on that low of a lift will actually net less travel. If you are not worried about travel then no biggie.

Yup,
These trucks already have limited travel up front so putting in a coilover that doesn't use a complete replacement tower would most likely result in the same or evenless travel than stock.

It takes some increased travel to improve the ride on these trucks.

Technically coilovers don't ride any better than a comparable standard coil and shock combo. It all comes down to spring rate, shock valving, and geometry. Wheel and tire choice also play a big role on ride improvement.

Assuming that you are wanting to go a little taller since your original post showed coilover for 4-6" of lift I would suggest the Carli Backcountry System.

Carli Ford BackCountry 2.0 System

They will have some 2.5 kits out in the future but they are still testing coil rates and shock valving.

Pure Performance has some very nice 2.5" systems that would fit into that budget as well.

Coilovers won't ride better than a coil-shock if the spring rates and valving are the same..X2 on available travel.
