Need shock suggestions: 97 F250 stock 4x4 diesel

97 F-250, 7.3 diesel, 4x4, stock: Looking for help with shocks. I want good dampening, and a reasonably smooth ride out on the road. I'll be towing a 6500 pound trailer. I don't use the truck off road at all. I replaced the worn out shocks with KYB Gas Adjust which didn't help at all. It seemed like the weight of the truck overwhelmed the shocks. The truck bounced as much as before with very little dampening. I took them off right away and the place I bought them took them back. Now I have the old shocks back on and am still in the hunt. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. I want a shock that will do its job without an unnecessarily stiff ride around town and on the highway. I'm open to all ideas. Thanks.

I don't think they make them for my truck. The local diesel guy loves them and wanted to sell me a set. He looked them up and told me that Bilstein only makes the 4600 for my truck. Seems strange to me since it's a pretty common truck.
