06 with no helper in the rear
I just noticed today that my 06 does not have a helper spring on top of the 5 leaf pack, dads 03 and my boss' 02 both have the helper on top but mine doesnt, nor do I have the bracket mounted to the frame for the helper to rest on when loaded and the frame looks like one was never mounted there. Is this normal on 06 or other models?

It's an option. It comes if the truck was ordered with the camper package option. The rear anti-sway bar also comes with the camper package.
My 05 doesn't have it because I don't use a slide in camper and ordered my truck without that option. |

My 99 250 had it and my 08 doesn't

Thanks guys, I was just curious as to why they were different.

My F250 didn't come with any helper spring either... I recently just purchased one for cheap on Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts | SD Truck Springs they have a lot of different options depending on what the truck is being used for.

My 06 didn't come with them either. I added the factory frame stops and then a f350DRW axillary spring combined with a f250/350 SRW axillary for a double overload spring. After that, reinstalled the airlift bags on top. Works great for carrying the camper.
