Dropping from 12"-8"

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying this truck: 02 f-250 12" lift,22s, 7.3 powerstroke But I dont want it to be lifted 12". I want more of an 8 inch lift. I know i can just pull out the shackles in front and throw some stock ones in, but Im wondering how I would go about doing the rear? He says he has 10" springs and I'd wanna bring the back down to 8"? (would bringing it down to 8" make the truck sit level or would I need it to be 6"? I want the truck to sit level.) My question is, how would I go about dropping the front to 8" and drop the back as well to make the truck sit level and how much the back does need to be dropped to make it level? I've heard of shops custom making lowering shackles or could always get smaller springs
